  • Currently, a logic of the event flow in EventIDE is based on conditions attached to events. This is a historical feature of the original program's architecture. Event conditions allows easy management on layers which contains dense links structures with a small number of events. However, the practice proves a real disadvantage of this approach- the conditions get overcomplicated when multiple links  converge to a single event.

    Accordingly, the conditions snippets (including the default time conditions) are planned to be moved to the links them self. It's a final step in core design, which is planned to be completed in September 2012.

  • Python becomes more and more popular as a general purpose programming language. Python emphasizes code readability, which makes it easier for beginners. Curiously enough, the Python has been created by Guido van Rossum, who graduated in the same university (university of Amsterdam) where EventIDE has been developed.   We plan to add a support for coding with Python in EventIDE snippets. Please, vote for this feature to promote it in our development roadmap.

  • In the visual editor for event add a function that composes the current edting event surface with all parent surfaces, like it happens in the runtime.
