EventIDE news


  • OpenViBE is a popular platform that allows to acquire data from any compatible EEG device. We just added full support for OpenViBE in EventIDE, which means that you can seamlessly enable real-time monitoring, signal processing and various forms of neurofeedback control in your experiments. No or little efforts are required even for advanced research techniques, such as phase-locked stimulus presentation (see our youtube demo). You can find a full  list of supported EEG devices here.

  • We are glad to announce that we are going to present EventIDE on the Donder Discussion 2014 - an international, two-day Cognition and Neuroscience conference for and by PhD students. The conference is held in Nijmegen, The Netherlands on October 30th and 31s.   • We are glad to announce that we are presenting EventIDE on 15th International Multisensory Research Forum. IMRF is a global meeting platform for scientists who are interested how different senses interact in perception.   • We are pleased to announce that Okazolab have signed a long-term collaboration agreement with Space and 3D context (ECO-3D) research team, Centre for brain and cognition research, Université Paul SABATIER in Toulouse, France to work together on EventIDE software. ECO-3D research team is engaged in three-dimensional space perception research.

  • We are glad to announce that Okazolab has been officially accepted into Microsoft BizSpark program. BizSpark  is a global developer community that has over 50,000 members in 100+ countries. Joining BizSparks, we get an access to full-featured Microsoft software development tools and platform technologies. Okazolab also become part of the BizSpark ecosystem, giving us access to investors, advisors and mentors. The Bizspark membership will allows us to further enhance our software products to meet your needs.

  • We have recently attended the “From theoretical work, to practical applications, and back again: a neuropsychologist’s tale” workshop organized by Lee de-Wit, Katrien Torfs, Kathleen Vancleef, and Johan Wagemans in the university of Leuven. We focused our EventIDE presentation on neurofeedback methods for realtime control of experiments and clinical treatments. For instance, we demonstrated an algorithm that accurately forecasts an online EEG signal when a systematic pattern is found in the already recorded segment. The algorithm  allows to lock stimulus presentation (or other actions) to certain phases or patterns in the realtime brain activity. See this article for a live demo and more details.

  • We are glad to announce that we will present EventIDE on ECVP 2013 in Bremen. ECVP is a largest conference devoted to scientific study of human visual perception, which attracts a wide variety of participants from Psychology, Neuroscience and Cognitive Science.  The conference will be held on August 25-29.     A new graphical user interface is now available in EventIDE. The Ribbon panel (alike Microsoft Office GUI) replaced the old menu in the main window. The Ribbon panel allows to access to all commands in the application in two mouse click, has a modern look and incorporates a number interactive galleries and editors.

    We have completed remodelling the Okazolab website. Beside of a new visual look and noticeable increase in performance,  the community area is significantly reworked to simplify navigation and facilitate user contributions.

    Now all pages there are grouped in three areas: support, development and galleries. User contributions are allowed in all areas. For example, you can upload your experiment into the experiment gallery, give a link on your paper and receive all author credits. If you want to participate in development process, you can add a request for new feature in the feature roadmap. In addition, you can give a feedback to other users by commenting and voting for their contributions.
